Remembering Gordon Summerbell
It is with deep sadness that we shared the news of the passing of Gordon Summerbell, our devoted Former Treasurer of the Friends. Gordon’s unwavering dedication kindness, and love for Durham Cathedral and the Friends enriched our community in countless ways. His presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy lives on in the work we continue to do in support of this magnificent cathedral – a place he held so dear.
As we mourn his loss, we also honour Gordon’s commitment by carrying forward the activities and events that he cherished. The Friends remain a vibrant and vital part of the cathedral’s life and we know Gordon would want us to continue with the same passion and enthusiasm he always showed.
